Clermont is one of the fastest growing cities in central Florida. Located about 30 minutes west of three major theme parks in Orlando, Clermont is close enough to major attractions while being far enough away to have the small town feel most people are looking for. It's the largest city in Lake County at about 19 square miles and just over 44,000 residents. Clermont was founded in 1884 and incorporated in 1916. The town is particularly well known for the area's chain of crystalline lakes and beautiful rolling hills.

Historic Downtown Clermont

Historic Downtown Clermont offers much to see and do, including shopping, dining, breweries and touring the Clermont Historic Village and Museum. The Clermont Historic Village is comprised of several historic buildings such as the Townsend House (built in 1895), the Kern House (built in 1885), the Cooper Memorial Library Building (built in 1914) and the renovated Depot Building (built around 1925). The Historic Village also features a Quonset Hut used as a World War II museum. The town is also home to the 1956 Florida Citrus Tower, one of the first major landmarks in the state. Historic Downtown Clermont offers beautiful views of Lake Minneola with free tours of the Clermont Historic Village offered most days of the week.
